Ancestry DNA. Who am I?

With my grandparents hailing from the sunny Caribbean, I've always been fascinated by it's history. It was my favourite subject in school, along with English. The subject of Ancestry had crossed my mind more than once, but there wasn't any real way of me finding out much information...until now. Oh there's the usual ways...asking somebody in the family, or trying to trace birth records. But that can often be met with mixed answers, or create even more uncertainty. I'd been given a rough idea about my great grandparents and grandparents...but what about further than that? We know about the slave trade and that most Caribbean people are descended from people from a variety of African nations and European continents. But which ones?
So earlier this year I decided to take a DNA test. I was very nervous and excited! I will list the results in no particular order :)
AFRICA
Mali
Nigeria
Ivory Coast/Ghana
Benin/Togo
Africa South Central Hunter Gatherers
Cameroon/Congo
Senegal
EUROPE
Scandinavia
Great Britain
Ireland
Finland/Northwest Russia
European Jewish
Iberian Peninsula
Europe East
WEST ASIA
Middle East
Caucasus
So there you have it! That is all the blood I have running through my veins! It was so weird reading the results. Some I expected and some were a complete surprise! It's one of the best things I've ever done and I definitely urge others to do it too. Also, bear in mind, that unless you are an identical twin, you cannot assume that your results will be the same as your sibling. They could be different, or have something that you don't have. Because everyone's DNA is unique to what you took from your parents to make a completely different person. I feel so special!
