Venturing in Valencia

Valencia is a truly beautiful city that I have had the privilege to visit a few times. The first time I visited was around November/December and although not boiling hot, the clear sunny skies were a wonderful contrast to the dismal weather in England. On my second visit I was a bit more brave and ventured out and about by myself. I was a little sceptical as I don't speak Spanish and I needed to successfully take a train ride into the town. As usual I was staying with my Aunty and she helpfully wrote what ticket I needed in Spanish in my phone. Then it was off to the station to leave the sleepy town of Pucol (Puzol). The lady at the Station seemed to not understand that I wanted a return ticket but even more luckily her manager spoke English and was able to help. The train took a long time to arrive. I think I had to wait between 10 and 20 minutes, that was long to me because I was used to the tube or dlr that comes about every three minutes. My Aunty told me that it I was to get off at the last stop so off I got! I had a nice stroll down from the station and sat to have some lunch by a nice fountain;

And afterwards, I went and did a bit of shopping and carried on down to a castle. I strolled around the streets for a while, Valencia has very beautiful streets.

Next I wandered over to an enclosed square where they had a tour bus that was loading. I had to wait for the next one because the first one was full, but what a fantastic way to see Valencia!

Honestly, the ride was so relaxing and I saw many great sites along the way such as the City of Arts and Sciences and the Oceanographic which is the largest Aquarium in Europe. After a fun filled day I made my way back to the station to take the train home. I always enjoy my time in Valencia and hope to visit again soon!
